Its been weeks since a number of businesses across the United States and the Keystone State halted operations amid efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic that has rocked the world. Needless to say, the economy has taken quite the hit and there are quite a number of concerns regarding the future of the people and many industries. In Pennsylvania, the efforts to contain the spread of the virus and protect the residents are still in place.
However, the restrictions pertaining to these efforts have since been eased and now plans are being made for possible reopening. Its gambling industry seems to be on the lead when it comes to trying to get things back to normal. There is, of course, a lot of caution
Live! Casino Philadelphia Construction Resumes
Construction at the site of the upcoming Live! Casino Philadelphia will resume with the first shift of workers reporting to the site on May 4. This first shift will consist of about 130 workers and more will come to the site in the course of the week. In total, the project will have approximately 700 workers pushing it through.
Considering the number of workers that will be present at the construction site, there have of course been concerns regarding potential exposure to COVID-19. Adhering to the spacing or social distancing standards could be very difficult. Fortunately, there is a strict set of guidelines that have been laid out by the state government to help in solving this problem.
The Keystone State’s governor has laid out a number of rules that they expect will help in protecting construction workers. For instance, the construction workers will need to wear face masks, limit sharing of tools, staggering of shifts, and handwashing among other things.
Wind Creek Bethlehem Preparing to Reopen
Despite the fact that restrictions have been toned down in the Keystone State, many social spaces still do not have a definite reopening date. Wind Creek Bethlehem, however, is reportedly already drafting a plan to reopen albeit in a manner that will ensure that its customers and workers are fully protected.
The facility is considering a soft reopening where only a small number of invited guests will be allowed into the facility in order to test its new policies and procedures. Protective measures such as extensive sanitization and the use of protective gear by the employees are part of these new policies and procedures.
Most notably, the operator is going to be relying on a reservation system as it pursues its bid to reopen. This means that the guests will need to reserve a date and time when they want to visit the facility. This way, the casino will be able to effectively control the number of people visiting the property. All these will be implemented in phases which means it might take quite a while before things finally get back the way they were before the pandemic.
