The much-anticipated regulated online casino market in Pennsylvania is set to go live sometime this year and when it finally does, online gamers in the state can expect to be treated to some of the best offerings in existence thanks largely to the lucrative partnership deals that licensees have been getting into. One of the most notable partnerships is a recent one between Stockholm-listed casino supplier NetEnt and Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, the renowned operator of the Keystone State’s Parx Casino. Through the partnership, the two companies will be taking everything in the state’s online gambling industry a notch higher through the provision of a broad range of innovative and unique online slots and table games.

“We are looking forward to expanding the Parx Casino offerings into the online world. As part of this, we’re excited to be able to offer NetEnt’s outstanding suite of game content as part of our online casino launch in Pennsylvania,” Parx Casino’s SVP iGaming & Sports Matthew Cullen said about the partnership.

Needless to say, there have been a few unprecedented delays in the official launch of Pennsylvania’s regulated online gaming industry largely because of changes made by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board in a bid to ensure that the industry runs as smoothly as possible once it goes live. Regardless, the potential of the state’s online gambling especially with regards to its large population has been a prime motivator for many gaming operators and developers who have been patiently waiting for everything to take shape.

NetEnt is one of the companies that chose to strike a partnership sooner as part of its pursuit of a pre-emptive course, a move that will pay off quite decently considering how lucrative the online gambling market in Pennsylvania and in the United States is. Fortunately, recent qualms such as the recent reversal of the 1961 Wire Act opinion by the United States Department of Justice have not done any significant damage to the online gaming plans especially at the intrastate level – hopefully, it will remain so for much longer.

Capitalizing on Pennsylvania

While Pennsylvania as certainly been a key focus for many operators and casino solutions providers, NetEnt is perhaps the only one that has been working overtime in the state in order to solidify its position in the state’s gaming industry. The Stockholm-based company first entered the Keystone State’s gambling market in October 2018 when it acquired a license that allowed it to offer its services through Penn National which also happens to be one of Pennsylvania’s biggest and profitable casino operations.

NetEnt has further managed to extend its partnership with other brands including Churchill Downs – it will be using the so-called GAN platform to ensure both flexibility and quality on all of the platforms where its online gaming services will be on offer.
